IRC and Hemorrhoids

For those that are looking for ways to prevent hemorrhoids, there are several different options that are available.  Sometimes you could have another digestive problem not related to hemorrhoids. If it is hemorrhoids, you will want to look at alternatives for helping to treat the problem.  One available method for treatment is known as IRC.

IRC stands for Infrared Coagulation.  It is a non-surgical treatment for hemorrhoids that is provided by specific doctors and physicians.  If you have medium to severe symptoms, you can use this to help alleviate the problem.  Most that use this method do not have problems with hemorrhoids after the treatment.  When using IRC, the doctor will use a small probe and put it above the hemorrhoid area.  An infrared light will expose the hemorrhoids.  This will then cause the vein in the rectum area to shrink and eventually disappear.  Before you go to the doctor for the IRC treatment, you will not need any special preparation.  During your examination, your doctor will examine your rectum area in order to locate the area where your hemorrhoids.  After the locations of the hemorrhoids are found, the doctor will then be able to continue with IRC procedure.

The advantage of IRC is that there are usually no side effects to the procedure. The infrared light will simply allow the vein to shrink, allowing you to move back to normal functioning during the day.  If you have several hemorrhoids, you may want to get an IRC done more than once. This helps get rid of the problem completely.

Most patients who get the IRC will not have hemorrhoids come back after this.  As long as you will continue to exercise and eat healthy, hemorrhoids should disappear completely after this procedure.  However, if you start to strain and add pressure back to the area, the hemorrhoids may come back.

If you are trying to find ways to get rid of hemorrhoids, IRC is one method that has been used for several years.  You can easily find a doctor or physician in your area that can perform IRC and allow your hemorrhoids to go away.  If you are uncertain about the procedure and whether or not it will work for you, it is possible to look into several options.
